The Affordable Housing New York City is an exhibition branding and visual communication project that explores the modern era of rent regulation in New York State and examines New York City's role as a pioneering force in the affordable housing movement. Developed through extensive historical research, the project translates complex social, political, and urban planning narratives into an engaging visual identity system and exhibition experience.

The project combines exhibition design, branding, motion graphics, editorial design, and digital media to communicate the history and impact of affordable housing policies in New York City. Through a cohesive visual language, the design system seeks to make historical information accessible while encouraging public engagement with issues of housing equity, urban development, and social policy.

As part of the project, I developed a comprehensive concept deck that outlines the exhibition's visual identity, including logo design, typography, color palette, environmental graphics, and brand applications. The identity system extends across physical and digital touchpoints, integrating motion and digital design components to create a dynamic and immersive visitor experience.

By combining research-driven storytelling with strategic visual communication, The Affordable Housing New York City demonstrates how design can transform complex historical content into meaningful public dialogue, fostering greater awareness of the social, cultural, and political forces that continue to shape housing in New York City today.
